The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

The drawings include different angles and an exploded view of the lamp's parts, dated January 5, 1943, with a mention that it was filed June 18, 1940, and indicating Elmer C. Richardson as the inventor. The diagram is presented in a classic patent-drawing style, featuring white lines and text on a dark background, with grid lines faintly visible for scale and reference.
